Continental once again tops the EVO Magazine summer tyre test with the Sport Contact 5 for 2014

Evo Magazine have published their annual summer test results for 2014. The test has been carried out by Henry Catchpole, features editor at Evo Magazine.

The result in the 225/45R17 tyre size was the Continental Sport Contact 5, coming 1st in four tests and only dropping out of the top three in two further tests.

3rd Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 92.1%,

4th Yokohama Advan Neova AD08 90.5%,

5th Michelin Pilot Sport 3 89.8%,

6th Vredestein Ultrac Vorti 89.2%,

7th Toyo 88.2%,

8th Hankook Ventus S1 Evo2 87.8%,

9th Dunlop Sport Maxx RT 87.2%,

10th Bridgestone Potenza S001 85.2%

Our verdict?

Which Tyres? has alway been a fan of Continental products, so this is a worthy winner. However, the other tyres should not be dismissed out of hand.
